Car dealerships
Hi peeps
Today we want to have a look at some car dealerships to see whats available. We don't have transport and so can't shoot off here, there and everywhere...
...is there a central place where a lot of user car dealers are based? Kind of a Newport Road in Cardiff!!

Not sure where you are based at the moment but if you can get a bus to Wairau Park in Glenfield they have all the the car dealers (toyota, hyundai, honda, ford, holden, vw, etc) plus lots of independent second hand car dealers. Not sure where else in Auckland you can find them all in one place, maybe Newmarket?

From the CBD right?...
On foot - If you head up to the Karangahape Road (top of Queen St) - head towards Kingsland - (so turn right as you've come up the hill with the city behind you) and keep walking for 10 mins, there are about a dozen dealerships up there.
Otherwise get on train towards Sylvia Park and get off at Panmure (it'll take about 10 mins from Britomat) - there are a number of huge car dealerships just off the train station - can't miss them with all the flags everywhere.

2 places, Wairau Valley, as mentioned, or head to Manukau and head North on the Great South Road, keep going all the way up to Penrose, there are loads of used car dealers between the 2 towns.......

Used cars, and cheap ones... we're looking at just getting a cheap runaround for now and possibly a newer model in a year or so.

Good luck for buying a cheap runaround ! There are second hand cars in NZ. There are no cheap second hand cars in NZ. Maybe your idea and my idea of cheap are 2 different things.

haha i've seen loads of cheap cars on trademe recently going for $1k that have rego... I just have some standards!
