Default Can I use top loading powder in a front loader

The missus is away today and I have got to get the washing sorted and I have just bought the wrong powder. I really can't be arsed to go back unless I have to!

So can I use top loading powder in a front loader?

I once bought a whole bag of top loader for my front loader- was fine but just used half the recommended dose. Like be very very economical wi how much you use!

Thanks!

Well I gave gone full bore and the washing machine was a foam monster, but managed to avoid it spewing out everywhere. Couple of extra rinses and it (should) be alright.

I know what my wife is going to say when she gets home!

There was me thinking that TL for top loader washing machines written on the laundry powder box and FL for front loader was a marketing ploy.

I like your plan actually, she'll assume you are incompetent and refuse to let you do it again leaving you to get out from under her feet and head off to the pub or go on a "spirited" drive on Sundays.

Yeah....It all sounds good in theory.......

I considered grabbing the old washing powder box and refilling it with the top loading powder, except my five year old said that was a stupid idea.

Whoops, sorry for the bad advice! Your washing machine must take its agitation cycles more seriously than mine

No worries, nothing wrong with your advice. I used the full amount, before I had any replies. I reckon if I used half it would have been fine!
