I've had some dodgy haircuts in Auckland over the years - hate to say it but the better ones you pay through the nose for - Servilles are really good, but last time I had cut, colour, blow dry etc it cost nearly $400 !!!:scared hair:

But if all you want is a cut and blow-dry then it'll be circa $120.

There is one in Mission Bay, Newmarket and I think the CBD too.

I have a fantastic hairdresser the place is called Kookachoo and they are opposite auckland hospital on Park road. It is owned by a japanese couple who both trained with Tony and Guy. Kenji does my hair and he has it looking the best its been in years, even the OH comments!!!!!!. If you are a student or work at the hospital you get 10% discount. I pay $170 for a colour and half head of foils and cut and blow dry. You get a complimentary drink choice of wine, coffee and a good range of teas. every so often you get a loyalty gift (choice of hair products). check them out on the website.

I've had some horror haircuts too in Auckland too! I go to Morgan & Morgan in Takapuna but this is quite expensive. I paid $220 for half head of foils, wash and blow dry (I'm growing my hair a bit and it was tidy enough for no cut/trim). You can get prices on their websites and they use different people for different things. For example, one person who specialises in colours will colour your hair after a free consultation, then you will go to someone else who specialises in cuts and they will consult with you again, then you will go to a stylist.

Well worth the money and they are all so friendly. Complimentary drinks are given too

If you sign up for all the daily deals that are on the go you'll get a good deal. I've got an appointment next week at Chagall (everyone keeps telling me they always USED to go there which is a bit of a worry) but it was $108 for a cut and style and I only paid $39. There's nearly always a couple every week, usually around Ponsonby or Mt Eden.

I used to go to one in Eastridge shopping centre I think it was called Just Cuts, good hair cut $15 less if you are over 60!

never had a bad cut there but had bad hairdo's at others named & they charged a hell of a lot more!
