Can anyone help?
HIya all.
I am living in the uk and trying to find out if ther are any NZ asbestos removal firms looking for time served (20 years experience) supervisors.... In the long term i am hoping to make the move permanent, and this is just my first line of enquiry, and realise its a long shot.
I know this is early days but would appreiate any help offered......

This sounds like the kind of job you need to network a bit to get together with the right kind of people in your industry. Maybe use the yellow pages and contact some companies that are in the business. I find many Kiwis are quite helpful and love talking about their line of work.

Give some of them a ring and, who knows, maybe they can let you know what sort of opportunities there are. If that's a goer, then we can see about the immigration side of things.

Asbestos Removal Contractors must be licensed to do this work.
As you would expect the HEALTH AND SAFETY EXEC. do this. [click the link]
Perhaps contact them for the list of licensed contractors in NZ. They may be kind enough to let you have that. The licenses are numbered , so they should have records.
By typing Asbestos Removal Contractors , I found a number of contractors.
One site - Roofing Specialists
and another is NIKAU
BRICON among others.

They list some of the better job-find sites in NZ.
You'll probably be in demand here if you can get the immigration, don't know too many asbestos workers in Auckland, BOP etc - but there's lots of asbestos ceilings in the older houses and offices which are slowly being removed!
