Can any one identify this tree ?

I pass this tree every time I pop up the cost towards Paraparaumu and it strikes me every time what a beautiful tree it is, so just like to know what it is.

Nothing we have here in the beaverstate. At least that I recognise. It does look like it is cared for by a Japanese pruner.
