Campervan wanted..
 

Hi all, looking for a cheap campervan for the summer. Needs to be a good size for a family of four. Tried the usual places like Trademe etc but they are mucho mucho expensive. Had one back in the U.K but had to sell her as the shippers wanted £3k+ to ship her over here.
Doesn't have to be flash. Just reliable.

Not sure if this is the best place to look? If you are in NZ already I would suggest hunting around your local hostels. They usually have noticeboards advertising cars and campers for sale.

Prices are seasonal....i.e. you get a really good deal if you are buying something in March/April time as that's when all the backpackers are going home and trying to sell and the market is flooded.

If you don't see any ads for anything suitable up in the hostels - you could make your own WANTED ad and put it up.

There's a big car yard type of place just off SH1 Northern Motorway by Greville Road. I expect they too would be all relatively expensive but surely you would expect to get a similar amount back when you come to pass it on.
