Buying a tablet pc - please help?

Buying a tablet - help please!

Hi guys

I'm planning to buy a tablet laptop (one that is convertible between normal laptop mode, and into tablet pc mode), but I'm not sure where to get one from for the best value

If you guys could give me some advice , it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a tablet that has these specs as a minimum

a dual core processor
100 GB hard drive
1 GB ram
at least 12.1" screen

Any help appreciated

Thanks in advance

to be honest you're asking in the wrong place
it could be worth asking in the Lab forum, but these boards are really for expat related questions

edit: i've moved your thread of the same name from the Australia forum to the Lab

We have one an acer ,cheap to buy and you can use a mouse with it ,plug in a printer and add a full size screen if req`d,its also wireless so it was a godsend for use here when we first arrived until the main pc`s came from the UK,ps bought it from Tesco`s:thumbsup:
Take a look here this is what used to be called a palm held pc known now as a tablet,

Are you in NZ? We have an HP 'convertible' one as described. Brilliant! BUT we bought it in the UK, so I can't help with NZ suppliers sorry.

However, I would have thought the cheapest place to buy one would be online, possibly from overseas. So google & trade me might be a good starting point? Good luck. They are cool to use. :)
