are there any other brits in tauranga ?we have lived here for over a year now and would love to hear from any other brits

i like tauranga its got a good feel about the place but there is something missing i think it has to do with what i mentioned before that is sense of humor coming from the north east of england i miss the warmth of the north east hospitality .

Pity we werent still there could have invited you down to our house on the beach for a few beers. Plus invited some very friendly and funny kiwis/South Africans and Scots. The kiwis we met were through hubbys work. Could you ask some of the people from your work round for a few beers???

We were very fortunate to build up a good circle of mates in the time we spend there.

It will happen, just takes a while.

Hi ex Geordie - we are in the process of moving to Tauranga - in fact hubby is already living/working there and I am back in the UK (sunny north yorks) trying to sort everything out (house, animals etc.) so that I can back out there and start our new life together.

Hubby is also an ex-Geordie (well Mackam really - Sunderland) and I am a Yorkshire lass so keep in touch.

We're in Rotorua - but not too far to travel to meet like-minded Brits!!!! Lots of em here as well. Stay in touch if your ever this way.

i am a geordie who lives in cairns,oz. but i have some friends who live in tauranga who are makems and they have heaps of pommy mates there. they used to live in the mount so keep looking because there out there

hi there im in tauranga and have been for 20 months now,well actually in papamoa, but thats close enough, we know loads of brits here too

we have british rels in tauranga and are likely to be headed there too. Maybe catch up when the time comes.

There's going to be a get together for all the brits in Tauranga at the yacht club sulphur point on sat 27th aug 2005. Mayor will be there + other people talking about what's happening in tauranga etc.
