BOP area - where to stay for a few days?
Hi everyone,
we will have approx 5 days to spend in the area, doing a bit of fishing and just soaking up the atmosphere.
Do you have any recommendations for a place/s to stay?
Nothing too fancy but walking distance to the beach. OH wants to fish, I wouldn't mind a bit of gentle walking and a pool would be nice but not essential.
I have looked at a few Top 10 sites (Ohope, Papamoa and Waihi) which all looked quite nice. Anyone stayed at any of these?
Any ideas/recs gratefully received,
Cheers
Jackie

when we came on a recce in April we stayed at cosy corner camp site Ocean beach roadThe Mount.http://www.cosycorner.co.nz/
We were in a one bed unit at the front which was fine, if you can get a back one it might be quieter. Very friendly management. across road from beach.and not for from Bayfair shops/foodcourt.
We now live at Omokoroa - there's a nice place here and the beach is good for fishing so they say. There are lovely walks around the penninsular too. depends what you want. http://www.omokoroa.co.nz/

Thank you Helen.
Omokoroa looks lovely - it must be great to actually live there.
I actually booked the Top 10 at Papamoa yesterday and I'm sure that will be lovely too.
