Blood Results
Hello :-)
I had my medical about 10 days ago and today had a call from the GP practice who completed my medical with my blood results.
My Haemaglobin A1C has come back as 6.4 (normal range 4-6). I have been asked to have another test with my own GP and forward the results back to the GP who did my medical.
Has anyone encountered this before? What was your experience? They seemed to think it was not clinically significant, but reading between the lines it could be indicative of prediabetes.
Any advice/comments gratefully received.

Re: Blood Results
Sorry to hear this. My husband had 'abnormal' readings and although the NZ panel dr passed him fit, the reading ws questioned by our case officer and sent to their medical adviser in NZ. Results and new results went back and forth 3 times (each time was a months delay). You get no explanation or guidance, just a note saying 'high/low reading'. Eventually my husband went to a specialist who wrote a report saying basically there is nothing wrong with this man- cost almost £1000! If we had to do the same again, we would have paid for the specialist report at the very start and saved ourselves 4 months stress. Hope it isn't the same for you.
