Default Birth Cerificates

When submitting your EOI/ITA, do you need a long version of your birth certificate or is the short version sufficient?

Soooo many questions!

just a quick question, I have a short certificate and applied for a long one, they gave me it there and then and the difference is that my long cert is physically bigger (A4-ish size) and contains both my parents names, father's occupation, address at the time of birth and date registered, but at the top, it says 'Extract of an entry in a Registers of Births'. Is this a long cert?

What is an extract?
An extract is an officially certified copy of a statutory register entry or copy of a parish register entry or census page.
Extracts of births, marriages and deaths can be used for legal purposes or for formal applications such as passports.
