Lets just say, "same but Different". UK Recruit Team are fantastic and ease the move and transition between cap badges. Work after all is work, its why you make the move that matters. For us, its a family thing. Don't be tempted to don the rose coloured glasses though. Ive met a few ex RAF who are still in shock. NZ is fantastic and a nice place. There are loads of good descriptions of Kiwi life on Expats so I wont bore you. But for us ex RAF. Pays far less, Housings basic, very basic. Property commutable to the bases aint cheap. (Remember that Mortgages are about 9.4 %). On the plus side, lifes pretty cool. Lots to see and do. We have each evening together and every weekend. ( Never had that for a long time. ) How far you in the process ??
