best place for foreign exchange rates please?
 

Hi - can anyone help me out please. We just booked a last minute break over in Aus to see some friends :thumbsup:, and now need to know where to go for best rates for AUD? Was thinking about that Loaded For Travel card from the postshop but looked at the fees page & it's put me off going for that :thumbdown:

All banks will give you the same rate so will the post office.
You can use your nz eftpos card in oz to get money from their banks

Wow, that's very unusual! So there's genuinely no competition with foreign currency dealing in New Zealand? Surely you can better rates at some places??

When we have changed money over in the past, we have found the National Bank to be slightly better. The Post Shop usually the worst rate. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much in it with any of the others.

Check out your your bank first.....when coming back to UK we found BNZ very competitive and very efficient.
