The best NZ chippies
Well it looks like the South Island has more to offer Brits than Auckland.

Not only better-behaved drivers but also the best chippie
Oh well, I will have to settle for trying out the chippie mentioned in Albany.
The best fish n chips we have had in NZ were from Beasties in Clevedon.
It’s Friday and if the weather here in Auckland improves hope to get some fishing in.

jacky g here....theres a great fish and chip shop in howick,my oh was in his element,british fish and chip shop,sells haggis and chips,scottish pie and chips and fritters

Hmmn, bit puzzled by that and wonder when the survey was done. That fish shop on Greville Road used to be okay, not fantastic. The fishmongers wet / fresh fish is great, but then it got taken over by that crap McFranchise - LJs or something, the ones that are in all the Westfield Food Halls. I drove past there last week or so and it looked like it had changed again. Maybe I'll give it a whirl again and see if it has improved?
