Having only been here a few years my knowledge of who's who in NZ celebretydom is scant. So I was wondering about all those people that keep popping up on telly esp adverts - were they famous before they got desperate enough to start promoting all sorts of crud?

So 1st one up is the mad lady from the Briscoes ads - what the hell did she do before her lobotomy?

Kinda like the british celebrities were on hollyoaks, some dodgy sports team, used to walk around with a bright green duck or simply known for being known.

But otherwise, ours are generally cricket players, rugby players, shortland street actors or assorted other sportspeople.
