Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone uses an international bank account in NZ?? I may have a small ammount of income coming in fromthe UK and lots of banks offer a sterling international acount with no exchange charges etc... does anyone use an account such as this??

Will get an NZ account for my NZ income no doubt.

Re: Banking

I have a foreign currency (UK pounds) account with ASB you van chose any currency you like. It sits alongside my normal bank account and I can view and do exchange to NZ$ online, as a simple transfer from one to the other. Initially I set it up to transfer house proceeds over (all gone now) :( however I kept it on as it's useful when people send birthday money etc I can keep it there for rainy days and better exchange rates. Downside being, you get a miniscule % of interest and a UK cheque still takes weeks to clear.
