Hi anbody out there can give me info on how to open a bank account before i move out.;)

Hi, dead easy, we emailed Kiwi bank and they were really helpful, they emailed the application form which we printed off, we sent them proof of our address in UK and photo copy of our passports. We then used Hifx to send money over bit by bit and even emailed Kiwi bank to make sure it was in the account. Communication was very good and everything went to plan.

We used Commonwealth Bank's London office to open an account with their NZ business, ASB Bank.

They were brilliant, made it a piece of cake. All done and dusted within about 48 hours of them getting the forms.

HSBC does internatioal account openings...
£100 if you're a regular customer
Free if you're a Premier customer...

Mine was free... :p

ASB, National Bank, Westpac and ANZ all have sections on their websites where you are able to apply for a bank account whilst still overseas. its under "migrant banking" or "coming to new zealand" links.
