Bank accounts in NZ

Bank accounts in NZ
Hi all,
I'm moving to NZ from Australia within the next 6 weeks and am looking for some advice in terms of the best bank account to open.
Ideally I'd like to limit the monthly fees I pay, while also being able to open up a savings account to run alongside the current account, offering a decent rate of interest. Easy access to a credit card to help with the big "öne off" payments would be helpful too.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Adam

Some of your banks are here, so you might be able to just transfer your account
ASB, Westpac & ANZ are here for starters

Re: Bank accounts in NZ
I'm with ANZ here, but I've just been into the branch and they told me I'd need to close my account here, and open a new one there, paying to transfer my money between the two.
I figured that if I was going to have to do that I may as well shop around the other banks too.
