Thumbs up Away to Auckland

Hello Folks,

Julie, lucy and myself are just putting our plan together to move to NZ next year. We are interviewing on skype and receiving positive feedback. Julie is a transport consultant and I do similiar but work in Waste minimisation, recycling and new energies.

We need to know about schools, healthcare and housing. Looks like housing is the same price as the uk?

Has anyone bought the book 'where to live in Auckland'?

Great to hear from other folks heading that way, maybe we can meet in the uk or meet you over there?

John

Default Re: Away to Auckland

Hi John
I used the book "Where to live in Auckland" when we were looking at buying our house. I found it to be a helpful guide.

Many people settle on the shore as it offers good schools, beaches etc. Downside would be having to travel over the harbour bridge to work and (for me) a slightly sanitised part of Auckland (I prefer to have access to more multicultural, diverse schooling)

Good luck

PK
