Maybe but I mearly point out almost all individuals and most households have a much lower level of income yet still manage.
They are & do . We get by on far less , although we don't have children and now have no mortgage. It is restrictive however.

Best to budget for the one actual main wage as the partner may not find work. Just a thought.

Erm, wrong, I do and so do many of my colleagues. Should have got better qualifications perhaps?

Yep, I was also in that wage bracket before I chose to take a lower paid job so it cant be that un common (and I'm in a pretty regular type job)
