Bound to happen, there will be wage equalisation eventually especially in a globalised economy where companies can shift manufacturing/labour where they want to. The global company I work for already tries to avoid using Australian resources like the plague because they are the most expensive in the world. So whilst everyone in Australia is smug about high wages, and it is seen as the land of plenty there are serious problems with this.

Outside the mining sector, Australia is not doing that great.
