Thanks for this. My NZ brother in law arrived last night for a short detour while at a conference in Germany and he has run through my bookmarked properties. To my surprise he vetoed one of my faves (leaky house and so obvious when he pointed out that there was nowhere for the rain to drain safely off the roof) and approved some of the villas, explaining how easy it would be insulate them if it hasnn't been done already. I feel happier about our options now. Just need to sell the bloody London house....

Again we're in exactly the same boat! Did our place up to sell not rent. We had one ridiculous offer of 100k under the asking price. We're in South East London. Anecdotely I've hard activity has picked up this year but could also be because people are accepting big price drops.

That's tough having a deadline. Hope somethimg happens on it soon. Do update us if you get a decent offer and give me some hope! We don't have a deadline but having made the decision I'm finding the limbo tough.

We're SW and also expecting offers that much below our asking price if we get any. We would accept £50-60k below but after that we start losing actual money (not just the gains that have been made in the market since we purchased) and will have to re-think. I would actually rather leave it empty for 6 months than rent it out if I thought things would be better in spring '20. We are half way through the contract with the EA and will change if we have no action so we can slightly chage tactics. We are currently with the most popular in our area, but will move to one that has an office in the smaller, desirable neighbourhood one street over from ours where our house would be worth £2-300k more. They may have someone prepared to get a better house but slightly dodgier road like we were.

We've accepted an offer.
Well below the asking price, but a solid buyer and it will enable us all to go to NZ together at the end of September and we now know our Auckland budget.

Thorners - £60k below our original asking price :-(
