Deffo up for that however that's the middle weekend of the school hols, so maybe before or after them may work better as people tend to go away etc?

Hello folks!

I'm arriving Auckland Weds 7th for reccie / job hunt so would love to meet up with some "veterans"!!

Will probably be moving on to Wellington mid October so hope to meet up before then and have a chinwag etc.

sorry for not getting back to you all sooner..........

As I've said earlier the 2nd is out for me and the 9th too. Will have to have a financial breather for the 16th so I was thinking of the 23rd October...

Seems like a long way off but it looks a realistic goer. I'll do a separate post as to not mislead :rofl: but Ill see what the preference is, whether it be -

The Pros and cons of A v B are -

A) $4 drinks between 5-7pm at both places but The Bluestone rockets upto $8 a drink thereafter compared to @ $6 at The Slipp Inn

B) The Bluestone room is city centre and The Slipp Inn is a 15 min bus ride from the city (however the buses are every few minutes in both directions and go quite late)

c) Nice food at The Slipp Inn (havent tried The Bluestone)

d) The Bluestone has screens for the sport but dies after about 7.30 (when the cheap drinks go). The Slipp Inn also has screens plus live music from about 9pm , and has a pool table .


I'm easy either way but I wouldnt be put off by bussing it to The Slipp Inn as its a nice pub and easy to get to.

The problem is that unless you're coming from the CBD the Slipp Inn is a bugger to get to.

23rd is fine by us. As we don't know either place we are up for wherever, just need to give us the address so we can sat nav it (our bible at the mo lol)
