Auckland or Christchurch
Me and my partner are after some advice, we are looking to live in Auckland or Christchurch. With our jobs we are looking to take home about $145k between us. I am quantity surveyor and my partner is a nurse. For one do you think we could live comfortable in Auckland or maybe better in Christchurch. I know looking at rent prices in auckland your look about $700/week
Any advise would be much appreciaed
Regards
Matt and Kay

We have both have working holiday visas. We have spoke to employers and they don' have problems with them.

Since you're on a working holiday then I guess you're here for a good time, not a long time, so best you choose based on what lifestyle / fun things you hope to achieve. e.g. If you want skiing and bungy jumping then south island. Sailing, surfing, boating & beaches then Auckland.

The primary intention of the visa is travel, with work secondary, not the other way around.
So I would, think along the lines bo-jangles described - go to the place that appeals to you most, since you're time in NZ will be temporary, you will have legally prescribed limits on how long you can work, and you will be returning to the UK in less than two years.
