Default Auckland bayside area drinks

Hi all. Anyone up for afternoon drinks next Friday 28th feb. I will need it after arriving on Monday next week in Auckland. I saw a great wine bar bistro type place in st heliers when over a couple,of weeks ago.

I am a very immature 40 something looking for friends!!!

H Hebe, where did you end up getting a place to live? Am happy to see you around the shore if that's where you've ended up?

We have ended up in a Kohimarama. The house is split in two so we can use each unit for each dog to register so no permit needed we will use the bottom unit for guests and the top one for us! It's a strange place but beggars can't be choosers!

Looking forward to our contents arriving and we can really make it feel like home. Dogs arrived yesterday and we took, them to the local park. Met an Aussie lady and going out for a wine tonight with her!!

Jacquena - if you want to meet up I'm more than willing to but I am somewhat older than you!!

Sweet. Sounds OK. Let me know if there's anything you need help/local's advice on. We don't cross the bridge too often, but we have been known to take a stroll along from Mission Bay along to St Heliers and back every once in a while..

Thanks very much for the offer. I'm sure there will be loads of questions. Just took a stroll along the prom with the dogs. Next time your coming over give me a shout - coffee?

How you settling in? March has been a cracker of a month for sunshine (the Cyclone aside) - you loving being down on the Bay?

Helloooo,

I've sent out a few PMs. I'm in Whitford (10 mins from Howick) and up for a coffee.

Whilst I'm here; does anyone round here know of any good places to run...? About a 5 miler would be good for starters as it's been a while! And does anyone fancy doing it with me - I can guarantee entertainment as I'm one of the clumsiest people I know...!

I'm 30 in a couple of months. I have my mature moments. I'm also 'one of those arty-types' as my OH likes to put it...

Panmure Basin is good for a run - flat - apart from a small part up to the bridge. It's very popular for running (not that I do it).

I've also sent you a PM.

Haha - I'm an artist but it always sounds a little pompous to introduce yourself as such so my OH likes to call me either the 'arty type' or a professional finger painter...
