Cool From Ascot Park to Cannons Creek - double rainbow over Aotea

We had a very short, sharp downpour about thirty minutes ago. A double rainbow appeared.

Check it out... (all pics taken from either my porch or next to the garage)

The rain lasted for maybe five minutes. As soon as it was over, the rainbow disappeared. Couldn't quite fit the whole rainbow into one pic though.

Anyway, just wanted to share.

I live approx 2.3 kilometres away from Maz on the other side of the hill and there has been no rain here........
{yes, I know it's probably because of the hill but it's really not far!!}
Nice pics!

We were driving into the city and got the full force of it. Quite a downpour!

We had a stonking downpour around 4pm. Really tropical, straight down, chucking it.

I was watching the southerly roll in when I was at work today, pretty cool.

Wow! You must be 2k, if that, as the crow flies. Probably closer to 1.5K. You're just down the hill, too. Weirdness!

Well that's never a bad idea anyway.

But this one shows the double really well:

To the right of the first rainbow is the second rainbow. It's a refraction of the first one, so the reds are closest to each other. It's faint, but there.
