Smile Architect in New Zealand

Hi!

I've just moved over to NZ, staying in Auckland at the moment. I'm having trouble with the conversation of qualifications to the NZIA system, i have done the RIBA part 1 and 2 course and have 2 and a half years experience but i'm having trouble getting work because offices don't know where to place me, junior or graduate... has anyone had any problems with this? Also i think the visa is putting them off, i have only 1 year and am looking at extending it to 2 at the moment.

I'm struggling to find work as an architect over here, i know it take a bit longer generally as its so chilled but does anyone have any advice?
