Default anyone speak japanese??? name for our puppy?

Hi guys,
This is totally irrevelant but hey....
We are getting a puppy in about 5 weeks. a golden retriever and we need a quirky name for him...
I should let you know we have a habit of naming our pets after the important things in life like...
Beckham....a rather cute fluffy ginger tom cat.
Rossie ...a tabby cat named after a ageing rocker
Chelsea...(not sure where this one come from cause hubby was a man u fan?????)

And currently we have Diesel a rather cute rag doll named after the man of sex him self VIN Diesel.

So now we are getting a boy puppy....

One suggestion is "kin-jan" not the correct spelling but thats how us europeans would pronounce it...I am hoping it means Golden in Japenese.
Can anyone confirm this???

I'd say kin no with very little pause between the two words,I am trying to think back to my school days, a long time ago. I think a ' indicates the proceeding word is pronounced with more stress?

We did go down the whole "greek god" line thing but didn't come up with anything suitable for a cute fluffy soppy dog.

Way too difficult. Just call the puppy Keanu (Kee-Ar-Noo) instead.

I felt like that with No 2 son....He didn't suit the name we had picked (Jamie), so he was 3 days old before he got a name that 'fitted' him. Oh, God, I am a bad parent.... (to late now!! )
He also gets called Markie Pole because he is built like a stick.....

Grey Cat: Dusty
White Cat: Snowball

Sorted.

Our cats have weird names... the first is Buddrick. We call him Buddy or Bud-Bud. His full name is Buddrick Carruthers Molson Licky Pouncy M_____ (last name). Our second, a female, is black all over, with a white 'nappy' and a white necklace. Her name is Cleopatra Delores Batgirl Springtime-Fresh Pork-Chop M_____. LOL!! We call her Cleo or Doogie. No clue where the nickname came from!

I'm going to add a name to our daughter's name. Going to give her my middle name. Didn't when she was born as I rebelled against having any family names. Wanted her to have her *own* name. Now wish I'd passed mine on... Better do it quick before her passports are up for renewal.

Whenever I hear the word 'japanese' the first thing that comes to mind is 'Sushi' and the second is "Sum Yun Gai"

As in the phrase from Wayne's World: "cream of Sum Yun Gai"

Couldnt help but snigger - sorry. school boy humour!!

Back in my box, I know I know
