Anyone in Invercargill recommend bike shops?
Arriving in Nz (Invercargill) second week of April and I will need a bike to get to work, till I can afford a car.
Any ideas anyone? I do have one in UK but its to costly to bring on plane it seems.

Have a look on trade me, there are fair few bike shops here, so you'll not be stuck. But the your first port of call for most things (houses to rent, cars, jobs) should be trade me

I have, however I have a time trial bike and its not going to be suitable for commuting to work even if I brought it. I'm after a cheap run around bike

Hello!
If you need a bike as soon as you arrive and don't want the worry of buying 'the right one' in a panic - get in contact with the Invercargill Environment Centre - they lend bikes (and helmets!) out for up to 3 weeks for a gold coin donation ($1/$2!!).
