Hi there,

Sorry for bombarding with questions tonight but I have only just found this site.

Is anyone else going alone?

We don't know of anyone else going alone but just wanted to wish you good luck! Hope it all works out for you. If we can answer anymore questions we will try. :)

Hi Susi - yes I am going it alone, never been there before, don't know anyone there; it's taking a lot of courage but I'm going for it (by the end of the year in fact). Be brave - I wish you lots of love and luck.

I came out to NZ with my brother last February but he decided to go back to the UK last October. I decided to stay on my own. It's actually not as bad as alot of people think. If you've got friends you're probably 95% on the way to settling down!! Luckily I share a house in Auckland with 5 brilliant people (1 Kiwi, 1 Japanese, 1 Korean, 1 Bolivian and 1 Argentenian) and through them have made other friends.

In fact we're all going snow boarding this weekend!!

I can't emphasise enough how important having friends over here is especially if you're on your own.

Don't half miss the football mind...
