Anybody know a good Tax Accountant?
Hi everyone, can anybody out there recommend a good tax accountant, preferably Auckland-based but not essential? Our 4-year exemption is just up - we're Brits living in NZ - and it looks like filling in tax forms is going to get much more complicated.

Word of mouth is good, but I "interviewed" four accountants, before I found one I was comfortable with and she has been great.

Hi sorry if this has been asked before but are you exempt from paying tax for the 1st 4 years when you move to NZ from the Uk.

You will still pay New Zealand tax on 'earned' income from overseas (and obviously on income 'earned' in New Zealand).
You're only exempt from paying UK tax if you are a non-resident of the UK for tax purposes (by being a resident of NZ for example)
