Default Any tips?

Hi everyone
well house sold first day it went on market, flights booked (27April),accommodation booked for stop over in singapore and we have booked a moterhome to pick us up from auckland and we are going to have 6 days (may book it for 10) as we have been told might not have enough time to do and see things that we want to.Was just wondering if anybody else has done the moterhome thing and would love to know your experience and were you stopped.we was looking at going from Auckland down to waitomo over to Rotorua then Napier then straight down into welli as that is were we are living for the first year.People that we have spoke to said we must go to taupo, any advise would be very grateful.
Thanks Kerrie and Chay

Have you been to any caves before? If so, don't bother with Waitomo. That'll save a few hours.

Have fun! if you don't get to see some of those places on your way to Wellington, you've got a year - you can do it another time!

we did this nearly a year ago , we came from auckland, coramandel, whitianga, papamoa, napier, rotaura, palmerston north, welly. we did it in a week & it was a bit of a whirlwind ,so i would say if you can 10 days it may bemore relaxing for you. the motorhome was great & the kids loved, was a good way to see the country & decide where we would like to go back to visit again, have fun xx

Wont you be passing Taupo on your way to Napier?

Your plan sounds good too me. Hope you enjoy the caves - it was a wow factor for my wife.

I have been looking at the same thing - campervaning - though in my case for 3-4 wks. I suggest typing in "NZ Campervan itinerary" into google - loads of helpfull suggestions and planned routes of different lengths..
