Any snow on ruapehu yet
As above.
Thinking of taking my little dog for a ride out, he's never seen snow

Ignorance is no excuse for the law. As a prison officer I'm sure you will agree.

This bloody country and dogs
It's alright to go out shooting anything and everything that moves, to drive pissed up, to slap your kids and to let cats roam freely destroying bird life but god forbid you might want to walk a dog somewhere on a lead.
BONKERS

Your post has nothing to do with the original topic.

Neither has yours
Your post is about how my post has nothing to do with the original topic.
It's possibly more off topic than my first post but not as off topic as this post.

So a bunch of hooray Henrys and hipsters charging around on ski's,
snowboards and driving their giant 4x4's up and down the mountain is
going to cause less disruption than me and my wee dog on a lead
How does that work then ??
How about all the hunting areas in the parks, how do all the guys
with pigdogs get away with it.
One of the biggest disappointments of nz is the lack of access to the countryside.
I'm not sure what my job has got to do with anything, I think its irrelevant !!

Re: Any snow on ruapehu yet
I support the ban. I dont think cats eat kiwi eggs or baby kiwis (or the myriad of other native flightless birds) like dogs and ferrets and such. I think we should let Department of Conservation decide whats best myself. If dogs were let into these areas there would be no more of these birds on the mainland. Its got to be a blanket ban because an owner of a dog on a lead will just say Oh, I will just let the dog off the lead for a little while ... and BONKERS why? Because NZ are trying to save native fauna from extinction??
