Any Recommendations for B&B Type Accommodation in or near Devonport?
 

The title says it all really :D

Hubby arrives on 16 Jan and is being put up in a hotel for a month by his company - he then needs to find a B&B type arrangement until he finds a house rental to start 1 April (hopefully). Me and our 3 year old are popping over from UK for 10 days - arriving 15 Feb so would ideally like to find somewhere that could accommodate the 3 of us for the first 10 days and then just hubby until the end of March.

Hubby will be working in Devonport so would like somewhere not too far from there - although he will have hopefully got a car by the time the company provided hire car expires.

Any suggestions or recommendations welcome.

We stayed in a Holiday Houses rental in Browns Bay. It's self catering rather than B&B but was cheap and met our needs. I don't know where it is in relation to Devonport on the north shore.

The Albany Executive Motor Inn is another place we've stayed. It's ok but expensive and might not be convenient for your husband's commute etc.

We stayed at this self-catering apartment in Takapuna recently. Lovely and spacious (2 bedrooms), fully equipped. The owner (who is very friendly and helpful) rents it out short or long term. It comes with a carport underneath and separate laundry area. It's quiet as there is no-one above or below you. We could use the kayaks and gardens. It's in a road that leads to the beach, 30 seconds walk to the beach and a couple of mins walk to Takapuna Centre.

It was a 5 minute drive (or bus) from Devonport (it may take longer in rush hour I assume, but don't live in Auckland so don't know what traffic is like around there).
