Default Any problems with Crown Removals

Thinking of using them for our move but want to know if anyone had any issues with them.If you had a problem was it resolved and to your satisfaction? Know they are a bit more expensive but prefer idea of one company here and in NZ with an office in Dunedin.Any advice appreciated

No sure about Crown, but our removals are coming on Monday we are using Allied Movers in NZ and they use Wentworth international here in UK, so far the correspondance has been excellent, but I will update you on the move.

All the best,

If I'm right Anglo Pacific have offices in both the UK and NZ but maybe only one. We are using them and so far they've been very helpful, but so has Crown and it's only the quotes that made us chosse Anglo.

We used Crown for the same reason that we liked the continuity of presence in both countries and had heard things that made us want to avoid NZ Vanlines at the NZ end. We had quotes from others which we used to help us negotiate a better price with Crown.

No complaints at all.

We used Crown and they were very good. We even went uninsured and it was fine. We unpacked ourselves, but they came back and picked up all the cardboard and paper.

My only complaint is that they as it turned out were totally uniformed about bringing firearms into NZ. They said our whole container would be delayed etc and so on. We then decided to leave the firearms behind. As it turns out there would have been no trouble at all. Our friends packed their own 40 foot container and brought all their firearms. For almost all of you I am sure that this is less of an issue, however, it was a disappointment for us. Firearms in NZ suffer from excessive markups it would seem, like many other things.

Used Crown and they were good - had damage to one item, which I have to say we were not sad to claim for and receive money for.

The team at both the UK and NZ side were excellent and very helpful. Even used them again when we moved from our rental to our permanent home.

No problems. Very professional. Only one company to deal with - which makes claiming for damages (if any) a breeze. We had one damaged item, the headboard of a bed. They gave us the cash for the item and we bought a new one. Our insurance policy through Crown UK had a 'nil' excess. Excellent service at both ends. I would recommend them without hesitation. And no I don't work for them. Good luck with the move.
