Post Any other Cornish Kiwis out there?

Hi there,

Just wondering if there are any other Cornish people living in New Zealand? I have lived in NZ for 8 years now and LOVE IT but I still love Cornwall and sometimes miss it.

I would love to connect with some other Cornish Kiwis

Allright boy! Not from Cornwall but spent 3 years at uni in Plymouth. Have friends in Penzance, Goldsithney, St Ives and Liskard. Are you missing the Tribute and Doom for saint auzzels?

From st austells - too many beers, spelling is a little slack.

Hello - Brad and I (Amanda) live halfway between Truro and Redruth in Cornwall. I'm working in Penzance and am fed up getting stuck in traffic every day near Hayle due to all the bloody emits! We are hoping to emigrate next July. I've had two job offers so far and one more interview to go. We've had the worst summer ever for weather in Cornwall - not sure I'm going to miss it that much to be honest!

Mark, luckily for us our local New World stocks St Austell breweries, so we regularly partake in a Tribute (or two!)

Amanda, I used to work in Truro and live in Portreath. If you don't like traffic, don't move to Auckland, the traffic is terrible at rush hour.

Thanks mi'bird I do remember missing Cornish pasties when I moved to Yorkshire & making some. I grew up in Manchester, spent too long in London then met my lovely hubby in North Yorkshire.. although he's a Bristonian our son is a yorkshireman if you ever visit Nelson i'll bake you a pastie

I went for "farewell to Blighty" drinks with my buddy of many years Jack in Porthtowan. Don't think it qualifies me, but sitting on the ruins of the tin mines talking bollocks was a hoot. Three old army mates, no beer, just good company. (My fave smiley)

Not Cornish, but love St Ives. The pasties are HUGE (so are the seagulls)
