Hi,

Were just starting on the Visa road and choosing between Oz and NZ, I really like the look of NZ but cant imagine that much of a demand for kitchen designers in NZ (especially if its outside Auckland) any ideas anyone or knowing of anyone thats in the same boat Id be really grateful.

We've just put a new kitchen in (its fab!)

The guy we went through was a jack of all trades, he did the measuring, sales, design and drawing, costing, ordering and project management. Unfortunately he also did the billing

So I think it would help to be able to apply your hand to a wider range of tasks than might be usual in the UK.

Talking to the locals the work is a bit up and down at the moment. People are belt tightening in the main, but there will be others who decide not to move homes and instead get the kitchen/bathroom done up instead.

Sounds like i need a few trades to take out there, interesting comments on how people are out there with home renovations etc. Thks for that

There seem to be loads of Kitchen places here (especially in New Plymouth where we live).

So I imagine you shouldn't have a problem here.

I make Corian worktops so get to see all sorts of fancy kitchens.
