If you're into wine, try Woolworths - got some great wine specials!

They actively encourage it?! Not that I would wish that kind of eventuality on anyone-but it sounds a right giggle. Where have you put your stuff? What if it gets cut off by masonary? Do you all have cellars? Think we should have a 'dry' run in everyoneshouse to make sure it works. Booze only for now-save the food.

Good god, didn't know anyone had actually done that! I might start putting a few things away...wont bother with the booze tho it doesn't last long in our house!

Yeah they do actively encourage it danny, there are ads on telly telling you what you should do and companys that will put together a survival box for you if you are too lazy to do your own.

As I said tho, I didn't know people actually did it!!

Blimey, you are organised.... you could set up house with that lot. All we have so far is tinned & packet food... water... oh and torches... thats about it. Sounds like I have to be a lot more organised. Our first aid kit is sad too.

we haven't got a seperate supply, we've just got a very well stocked pantry - with enough to keep us going - we just buy a couple of extra bits each week so that we're always ahead of ourselves as it were. we've got tinned spaghetti, beans, pasta meals, oats, powdered fruit juice and milk, dried veg, tinned veg, tinned fruit, rice, pasta, cereal. we've got paracetamol++, face masks, torches, batteries. the sleeping bags are upstairs in the linen cupboard, we've not got much water (probably the most important), we've got alcohol handwash, a gas burner and a gas bottle, we've got flour and a breadmaker (OK if we've got power). We still need to get a battery powered radio and stock up on nappies / toilet paper.
.........and we've got a lot of hope that we never need it all!
