another shipping thread...
Well we are 80% packed now and living in a house with floor to ceiling box's and we have just thought of something,
Our food in the cupboard, obviously i know they are uber strict on the import of foods etc but has anyone put any unopened jars/tins in a conatiner with there belongings or is it a total no go!
(obviously i mean delcaring they are in the ccontainer)

We didn't, didn't want to chance it. Best thing to do is call your shipping company and ask them what can and can't go. Or just wait til they come to ship they will soon say "that can't go" if it can't.

Your container is going to be a big steel coffin blistering under the equator sun on a long drawn out journey.....most of your jars will be twice cooked, steamed, and solidified......but might just taste better for it!!!

But I would recommend rushing out and buying a new breadmaker and expresso machine and putting that in your container. If you then find you don't want them I know someone that does.#

Get to the quid shop and buy a load of batteries, they cost a bloody fortune in NZ.

Might be worth buying some bigger clothes for your little one, as the Uk does have lovely baby clothes at resonable prices and good quality toys if you have room in your container.
