Anyone else been addicted to American Idol? I was gutted when Adam Lambert lost...
Whats this about him becoming the new front man of Queen though...Weird or what?

Yep, co-addict much to OH's dismay! I thought it was a good outcome. Adam was gona get a career out of it anyway, he's just such a natural performer so it was good that Kris won - that way they were both winners.

My father - of all people- got me hooked on this season.
I have to admit though, I am not entirely surprised about the winner. I much preferred Adam, but when it comes to music which can be identified easily then I think Kris singing acoustic ballad type stuff makes sense - kind of Josh Pyke meets Ben Lee with a bit of rockabilly country or something.
I loved Adam's range and showmanship. But I kept thinking "If he made an album, would I like it".
I may not like Kris' either, but I think people could reasonably guess at the music he would sing.
Which isn't such a bad thing really. I have no time for music snobbery. And I think he came across as really nice.
I still think that Danny Gokey could have a career though. Maybe not top superstar but just the 'keep on truckin' kind of music. He was really good and consistent (ok when he made good choices).
