Airline promotional codes and luggage limits

Airline promotional codes and luggage limits
Does anyone know and current airline promotional codes for emigrating from UK to NZ.
We are looking to fly out (one-way) in November and Emirates used to have a code ukmove1 which allowed upto 50kg per person but is no-longer valid. Current limits appear to be
Emirates - 30kg per person
Cathay - 20kg
Air NZ - 25kg
with excess charges of about 300 pounds for each 10kg of extra luggage.
Thanks

Re: Airline promotional codes and luggage limits
Sorry this is probably not going to be very helpful for you seeing as you are booked with Emirates but I've read from other posters that Singapore Airlines have a 40kg limit. some have mentioned that they rang SIA to explain and immediately got an increase to the 40kg so is it worth possibly doing that with Emirates? They have seemed like a reasonable airline when we've flown with them before.
Good luck
....Just found it - if you go to page five of Dewb's UK to NZ August 2010 thread there is a discussionon there which should help with some of your queries

Thanks just had a look at Dewb's post about the 40kg limit on Singapore. We have not yet booked so I will speak to them.

We've opened a bank account with ANZ, and that gives us a special code to use with Emirates to get up to 50kg. I think you can get the allowance even after you've booked your flights.
