Default Air freight to NZ - advice

hi there, i am moving out to Auckland in september but will need to air freight some essential items as the Singapore Airlines baggage allowance is only 20kg. Does anyone have any advice on which companies to use and cost per kg? Thanks

Have you looked at unaccompanied luggage on the planes, its worth thinking about, or if you aren't taking too much more than the 20kgs then just take the hit on excess baggage.

If you do go for a freight company, I would suggest one with some kind of aircraft would be a good one to go for

WE came out in 2006 after hand luggage and liquid changed flew with Malaysian and all 4 cases weighed between 25-30 kg no excess charges as we were emigrating.Flew last year with Singapore cases were over 20kg for us no excess charges but we always put the lighter childrens one on first1

We sent work essentials, two toolboxes and hairdressing stuff, as "unaccompanied baggage" a few days before we left. Had to travel to Hamilton to collect from a bonded warehouse.
Hell of a lot cheaper than excess baggage. Contact your airline for rates.
