Advise needed
Hi
I am going home to the UK in a couple of weeks, did post a thread a few days ago asking for advise on shipping (thanks to all who replied). We are in the process of sorting shipping out, just wondered if anyone has encountered any sort of problems,with customs and tax on goods you ship back to the UK, because we have been told we will pay tax on everything we send back if we have lived outside the EC for less than 12 months, and any furniture we have bought in NZ and owned for less than 6months we will have to declare and pay tax on. We will have been in NZ for 12 months on the 5th Aug, but we didn't really want to hang about. Also has anyone ever shipped a car back? is it worth it as far as cost and hassle?
