Default Advice on Police Certificate

Dear all,

I am applying for jobs in the US and am likely to be hired this year. However, I am concerned by the information that may be shown on the police certificate. Although I have never been arrested, questioned or charged, I was investigated by the police a few years ago and the police concluded that there was no case to answer and I was completely exonerated - hence the absence of questioning, charge or arrest.
I am very concerned that a record of the investigation may show on the police certificate and affect my chances of receiving a work visa. I would be grateful if a knowledgable person would be able to advise me on what information would be revealed on the police certificate.

thank you for your help.
