Cool many congrats! Can't advise on Auckland I'm afraid, but Oriental Bay Beach in Wellington is lovely.

How long are you staying for in NZ? Are you already planning on moving to one area in particular?

Hi

Have a great Recci! Make sure you go lugeing in Roturua. excellent fun for all ages

Skiing was fab aswell, central North Island, probably too early in the year though, hard to ski without snow! Actually bloody hard anyway, and dont mention getting on and off those ski lifts

Cheers Jads

Auckland - best thing to do is get out as quick as you can

He'll fit right in in with the weather we have here, unsure about the coast but we have regular windsurfers at Evans Bay and Lyall Bay as well as normal surfers and kite surfers.

Nerine is an unknown quantity at this point

Mission Bay for starters and then when you want to venture further afield head for Takapuna (near the council offices) and work your way north all the way up to Long Bay, all of the beaches along that stretch are pretty good and you can't go far wrong. If you want wilder with rollers head for the west coast - Muriwai, Piha & maybe Bethels (not as good as the previous two)

Whilst in the city take a hike/drive up Mount Eden, Sky Tower (also grab a meal in the revolving restaurant at sunset), catch a ferry over to Rangitoto, picnic on Auckland Domain, visit the Museum and Victoria market and chill out over a lazy alfresco lunch at the viaduct.

Rotorua- just do all the touristy stuff - thermal wonderlands, luge, zorb etc.

If you have read my reports you will see we went to the North Shore area the beaches there are lovely. You must try and go to the Coromanel as well. We took our Grandson to The Luge and The Zorb last year they should not be missed There are lots more to do in and around Rotorua.

Have a good time
