Hi there everyone, I'm brand new on this forum stuff so hope I'm getting things right... I'm embarking on a trip to NZ Tauranga beginning of October 2014, I'm traveling there with my wife, mother and 4 children aged 9-2. We plan to spend 6 months there and was hoping to rent somewhere furnished for this duration, a kind of home from home type experience for the children more than anything. I have been looking at the local estate agents and made a few enquires in to this sort of thing, the general feed back is that it's unusual for places to be let out furnished#?*. This seems quite unbelievable to me, I'm sure there are plenty of people who do this sort of thing every year. You all know what the winter is like here in the Uk, it's a great idea to get out for 6 months!!
Anyway I was wondering if there was anyone that could give me a glimmer of hope and perhaps some good advice, I have already purchased my flights and would like to put my mind at some sort of rest and start looking forward to the trip of a life time and stop worrying that I'm going to end as some wondering homeless that keeps telling his family it I'll all be aright.....

You can always rent unfurnished and rent what you need. Check out... Mr Rental Tauranga - Mr Rental New Zealand

We rented back in 2007 a small 3 bed house, then rented, TV, Sofa, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, Washing Machine etc..... for six months. Went and bought everything else we need either off trademe or from the warehouse, to get us through.... Be cheaper, that trying to rent furnished...
