Re: 7.1 Earthquake and Tsunami Warning...North Island
Like many in the country I expect, we have been feeling rather jaded today thanks to the interrupted sleep at 2.30am this morning. For us the quake was incredibly shaky, long and strong . Goodness knows how it felt for those up north . Everything moving and rattling. The stairs doing the snake dance and the water tank wobbling about. This obviously led to a bit of a wakeful rest of the night . Not so much re any further tremors ( although my brain went onto auto red alert) , more about being shocked so wide awake. 👀 .
Bit rubbish timing as we had to get up early to clean windows , frames and the like as the house is being anti insect sprayed tomorrow and we only had today to get ready for that. Knackered now.🥱 There better not be any more of that malarky.
Himself was on standby for a while re Civil Defence but was stood down some hours ago.
