22 days to go
Hello all, after a long haul journey of Pr visa applicationand then booking our flights for august we thought that we'd have plenty if time to get ready...
All that changed when I applied for a job and get the reen light and a start date, the 25h May. What!
We've only just organised a shipping rep to look over our suff. We also need to finish diy on our house ready to rent her, oh and finish the four weeks notice on my current job. So that gives me the weekend and any other days Ive earned in holiday to prepare.
Shall I stress n scream now or have an Ale and get stuck in

Congrats on the job and move, very quick move that is!!! 
Look at it as an exciting challenge rather than stressful challenge... its probs the best way to do it... seems like our move has been going on for ages... can't wait for the last few weeks to pass now!

Thanking you for the luck, I'll use that luck with the best intentions in mind.
We're heading for Wellington as its the best place to be in NZ (my opinion ;-) and it certainly helps that we lived there 2003-06 so seeking a cave in the capital won't be an issue... famous last words.
I couldn't believe my luck with the job. The second interview I had was on Skype and the connection was really bad. I can't believe that you can talk to folks in space and Skype being that bad to another country on the same planet!
During the conversation I couldn't quite hear what was being said but I heard the reply from NZ saying that If I need help with my spelling, I can get help.. NOOOO I didn't say that. Thank you Skype. Got the job though no worries.
The only thing to sort now is shipping. Ain't got a price yet, ain't heard back from the firms. Must chase tomorrow.

Wow.
Well you're probably not going to have much time to answer this, but based on your experience, where would you recommend living in Wellington? Renting and buying? I'm looking at middle market, not slumlord or palace.
