20 - 30 year olds in the North Shore
Was having a chat to my step son last night and I think that one of the things he might struggle with would be finding mates here in NZ....He is 26 and all my friends are old farts like me!!
I said that he should organise a meet up for people of his age to start getting a social circle together.
Is there anyone else on here thats younger who finds it hard to meet younger people??

Erm yeah - just depress him even more and tell him that nightclubs don't really exist in NZ. Well - apart from Calender Girls! ha ha!
Best suggestion I can give is to go and stay in one of the Auckland Suburb hostels for a bit - he will meet other young people and take it from there. I lived in one in Mt Eden for about 6 months when I first arrived and there were quite a few other workers there - got a great base group of friends started from that. Winter is a good time too as lots of people just living in Auckland and working instead of travelling.

There's an event on at Centrestage, Orewa tonight, "No Amps Allowed". It's free entry & taking place in the foyer. Starts at 8pm & is billed as an evening of live acoustic music & chilled electro beats. There's a bar & the theatre manager will be making some cocktails . I know it's going to be messy in the morning .
Our theatre manager is 22 & I know alot of young people are going to this event. Just thought it was worth a mention.
I'm ancient too, 38 is really young.
