Guys!
I've discovered this iPhone app called "whatsapp"
It enables you to send text messages to anyone who has this app on their iPhone/Blackberry over the web/3G... This, anywhere in the world!!!
Since then I am stalking my mates in UK & France like there's no tomorrow... It's so cool we've catch up on so much gossip n can now text each others like crazy!!!

Couldn't you just use Skype, or Fring, or MSN messenger?
Or does that horrible phone stop you using apps like that?

Probably.... I cant get my head round them & whatsapp was SO easy to download n get started...

I'd call its unnecessary technology.
I wouldn't spend/waste my time/money txting someone overseas like crazy. occasional phone call or email - thats all I need. personally I dislike chatting on messenger or anything similar. don't know why but I don't enjoy unnecessary txting unlike many others. well maybe its to do with ? - I was seriously fed up with kiwi boys txting me tOO MUCH through the day and night in the last few years.
gosh I felt like He's A Stalker 
f**K ended up dumping him anyway, I occasionally felt wish we didn't have such kind of technology - because, when someone (who loves you dearly) txting you (something unnecessary - like he was so drunk...), don't want to be bothered but don't want to be rude, right? its just so annoying.
I wouldn't text each others like crazy unless he IS my boyfriend.
Making an Overseas Phone Call is cheap these days - phone call is better than txting if you need a proper conversation.
Do something productive.

maybe texts and technology are not for everyone (she said, as she typed onto a website!)
But i am personally VERY grateful for this information ! I will be coming over to NZ in 24 days (ooo eck !) and will be downloading this app in the next ten minutes - it will be a great comfort to know i can text my grown up kids for free. I won't have my own phone or internet for a while and I am sure it will be a godsend.
